Our Commitment: We want you to be completely satisfied with our career guidance services. If something isn't right, we'll work with you to make it right. This refund policy outlines the terms under which refunds are issued.

1. General Refund Policy

StudyDecode is committed to providing high-quality career guidance and academic counseling services. We understand that sometimes expectations may not align, and we handle refund requests fairly and transparently.

Key Principles:

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 7 calendar days of service delivery
  • Refunds are calculated based on the percentage of work completed at the time of request
  • No refunds are issued for services that have been fully delivered and accepted
  • All refund decisions are final and at the sole discretion of StudyDecode

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

4. When You Get a Full Refund

You are eligible for a 100% refund in the following circumstances:

  • No Work Commenced: You cancel before any work has started on your package
  • Missed Deadline (No Communication): We miss a committed deadline without prior communication
  • Duplicate Payment: You accidentally paid twice for the same service
  • Service Not as Described: The delivered service significantly differs from what was described
  • Counselor Unavailable: No suitable expert is available for your specific needs after 10 days

5. When You Get a Partial Refund

You may be eligible for a partial refund (50-75%) in the following circumstances:

  • Work in Progress: You cancel after work has started but before completion
  • Quality Concerns: The delivered work does not meet agreed specifications after 2 revision attempts
  • Delayed Delivery (with communication): We deliver late but kept you informed
  • Scope Reduction: You reduce the scope of work after project has started

The exact percentage is calculated based on the amount of work completed at the time of cancellation.

6. When No Refund Is Issued

No refund will be issued in the following situations:
  • Admission Rejection: You were not admitted to your target institution (we do not guarantee admission)
  • Exam Failure: You did not achieve desired scores in JEE/NEET (we do not guarantee results)
  • After 7 Days: Refund request submitted more than 7 days after service delivery
  • Completed & Accepted: You accepted the deliverable and then requested a refund
  • Change of Mind: You changed your mind after work is complete
  • Incomplete Information: You failed to provide required information causing delays or substandard work
  • Visa/Immigration Issues: Visa denial or immigration problems after admission

7. Revisions Before Refund

Before requesting a refund, we encourage you to use our revision policy:

  • All packages include 2 rounds of revisions at no additional cost
  • If you are unsatisfied after the first delivery, request revisions to address your concerns
  • If after 2 revisions you are still unsatisfied, you may request a partial refund
  • We want you to be satisfied — most quality concerns are resolved through revisions

8. How Refund Amounts Are Calculated

9. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, processing times vary by payment method:

  • UPI (India): 3-5 business days
  • Razorpay: 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 7-10 business days
  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank)

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.

10. Dispute Resolution for Refunds

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may:

  • Escalate: Request a review by a senior manager by emailing enquiry@studydecode.com with "ESCALATION - Refund Request" in the subject line
  • Provide Evidence: Submit additional documentation supporting your claim
  • Third-Party Mediation: If unresolved, disputes may be referred to arbitration as outlined in our Terms and Conditions

We aim to resolve all refund disputes fairly and within 14 days of escalation.

11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We encourage clients to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback:

  • Chargebacks bypass our refund policy and can take 60-90 days to resolve
  • If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we will provide all evidence to the payment processor
  • Unsubstantiated chargebacks may result in account suspension and legal action to recover fees
  • We reserve the right to refuse future service to clients who file fraudulent chargebacks

We are always willing to work with you — please contact us before filing a chargeback.

12. Service Cancellation Policy

Consultation Cancellation:

  • Free consultations: Cancel at least 2 hours in advance
  • Paid sessions: 100% refund if cancelled 24+ hours in advance; 50% refund if cancelled 12-24 hours in advance; No refund if cancelled less than 12 hours before

Package Cancellation:

  • You may cancel a package at any time
  • Refund will be calculated based on work completed at the time of cancellation
  • Any work delivered up to cancellation point must be paid for

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, payment processor issues, or government actions. No refunds will be issued for delays caused by force majeure events.
